5 Port Mini

The 5 Port Mini is used as a tuition car and is built to a slightly different philosophy than the other BRR mounts – whilst it retains the competitive nature of the other cars it is also designed to cater for drivers of all ability and as such is designed to be robust and easy to drive.

Featuring a top specification five port full race engine and well proven components the Rental car is also used to provide clients and sponsors with hot laps around circuits (the car is temporarily fitted with a second seat and race harness for this purpose). The annual Miniworld Action Day held at Castle Combe circuit is a prime example of this, the event is also used to promote and sell sponsors products – the cars performance on track drawing people to the teams awning within the paddock. Hot laps are also used to raise awareness of and funds for the Kent Autistic Trust, a charity which has been supported by the team for several years.

The 5-port has also been employed in the past year as a promotional tool for the BARC Tin-Tops series with the car being displayed at the London Motorsport show as well as appearing on track to provide the series with a well known and respected driver/car combination in order to boost the profile and credibility of the fledgling series.
