The Team made the long haul to Snetterton Circuit for the penultimate championship round.  The circuit is primarily flat and was used as an RAF Bomber Airfield during the 2nd World War.

The Mini headed out for qualifying with a soft set up as the circuit was damp, a high spec Peugeot 205 qualified just in front of us, he was to be our main rival. Just as we were called for race 1 it was discovered that the mini had no clutch, luckily the start was to be a rolling start so we decided to race without the clutch. During the race a Class A car got between the Mini and the Peugeot, as can be seen on the video. The Mini had to settle for 2nd in class and a respectable 6th place overall.

As the 2nd race was to be on the Sunday the Team had ample time to effect repairs to the clutch. The race was bright and early on Sunday morning, the expected deluge of rain had luckily come overnight. The Mini made an excellent start passing many cars of a bigger engine capacity and was able to latch onto the tail of the Peugeot, however as in race 1 a faster class B car was able to get in between the Peugeot and the Mini and was unable to pass this car as we finished the race.  Another 2nd in class and 6th overall position.

The team can be pleased with the overall positions of the Mini as this was to be our weakest circuit.  The aerodynamics and the Horse Power of the Mini were the governing factor in the lack of top speed. We now head for the next round of the Championship and the Final at Brands Hatch on the Halloween Weekend 30th/31st October.
